Oh, this is a bloody lovely, no fuss stout. Too often brewers pile in the adjuncts, but not here. This is all roasted malts, cocoa and coffee. Its smooth as silk, and actually a very easy drink. The ABV is hidden really well, and I could drink this all night long (or, until it puts me to sleep).

Jet black body, lacing rings down the glass from a filmy layer. Promising smell of black chocolate and coffee. Prominent coffee-chocolate flavours, mid-sweet, followed by roasted bitterness to a long lived ending, integrated alcohol. Fine depth.
Whiplash decided to go all the way with this big dirty straight up Imperial. In their words – this ain’t no pastry stout. Pilsner works as a lovely base to pile on silly amounts of brown, aromatic and chocolate before a silly long boil and a light seasoning of columbus in the kettle. Fermented on WLP007 then left the f**k alone. No Cocoa Nibs. No Vanilla Pods. No Coffee. No Pumpkin Spice Mix. No Waffles. No Biscuits. No Fried Chicken. Straight up dirty stout.
