Thick as you’d like, melon, mango, apricot. Finishes surprisingly dry which is nice.

A great DIPA, but doesn’t live up to the hype. Maybe released a bit too early. Quite bitter at the end for me.

I hate Hype Beers. But sadly my previous experiences with Putty have confirmed that it’s brilliant. And this batch is no exception. Heavenly stuff.

Before the hype kicked in. Really was a perfect dipa. Perfect aroma, colour, taste and texture!

This beer lives up to its reputation. Big, big fruit flavours, decent bitterness, smooth and thick. If you see it, drink it!

Often beers come with a reputation that they can’t quite live up to. This wasn’t one of them. Silky business. It says unctuous on the can, and that’s a great word for it. Huuuge and heady passion fruit, melon and apricot in your nose and in your mouth. I’ve seen a couple of people say it’s the kind of beer you could only have 1-2 in a session – I agree. For me that’s a sign of its strength – in both ABV and it’s flavour punch. It would be too much of a good thing, this isn’t a session beer, it’s a brew to savour. Yeah, it’s dead good this one.
Verdant’s 2021 release of Putty. Loaded with Galaxy, Mosaic and Azacca hops expect masses of mango, lemon, citrus and pine alongside peach, passion fruit and mixed tropical fruits from this heavily-hopped Double IPA.
