I sit on the fence with this one, so much promise but somehow falls short. Definitely not Christmas pudding.

A dark porter. Smooth & fairly sweet, but lacking in any strong flavours. Only subtle hints of vanilla & seasonal spices.

As with most Thornbridge brews, this is a well structured and tasty drink. As the name suggests, it is also very reminiscent of Christmas pudding. As anticipated by the % this is quite light for a bold flavoured porter but it seems to work well.

Alright, but would be better with way more body, alcohol & Xmas puddingness. So basically it could do with being a totally different beer.

General sweet tastes including light toffee/vanilla notes, a bit thin for a “Christmas Pudding” than I was expecting.

An inoffensive, balanced sweet stout. Scented candle nose – sugar and spice. Well-conceived – fruity, sherryish but thin and mild.

This is dangerously drinkable smooth tasting porter with mince pie and cream soda flavours. Glad I bought more than one bottle!

Christmas pudding in a bottle.
It has all the spices you'd expect from a Christmas pud and when it has warmed up slightly the flavour is lovely. Thornbridge are making some very good beers at the moment.
