This IPA is lovingly brewed by the fantastic Salt.
This tasty brew comes in a 440ml can and is 6.6% ABV.
The good people at Salt say:
Alpaca fleece is the fibre harvested from the coat of an alpaca. A soft, luxurious and silky natural fibre, it is similar to sheep’s wool but warmer, naturally water repellent and less prickly. The mill in the centre of our homeland was innovative enough to recognise the value of alpaca wool in the 1800s. You could say alpacas built the village in which we are based!
Our Alpaca DDH IPA is every bit as premium and luxurious as the animal fibre. Expect strong tropical hop aromas on the nose. Initial flavours of guava and melon are followed by the appearance of honey from the malt. Crisp and punchy, the tropical fruits are well balanced with a dry, bitter finish.

I was expecting a much drier and hoppier beer having read the label, but I wasn't disappointed. A lovely drink with real tropical flavours, and not remotely sweet, but refreshing – went beautifully with Morecambe Bay potted shrimps!
Terri –
Ok beer
Steven –
Decent beer but I’ve had better from salt, well flavored
Julian –
Juiciness followed by hints of Pine and slightly resinous.
Clément –
Hazy fruity/tropical IPA. Would definitely recommend

Really good actually. Plenty of fresh hoppiness. Starting to think Salt are really going places.
Mark –
I’d had a few different beers from Salt, and thought they we’re fine. But this was very good. Thick and juicy; tropical taste is there but just nicely in the background.

A great hazy IPA on the more heavy side. Goes great with a nice sit down in a good armchair.
George –
Decent beer!
Stefano –
not my style…tastes of tropical lager
Alison –
Loved how the fruit flavours wove their way through the dry, bitter hops.

Fruity
Rory –
A delicious tropical brew
Vincent –
Really fruity, juicy DDH. Haven’t had a bad beer from Salt so far. Even the supermarket beers are decent.

Well rounded but can taste the Abv!
Anthony –
Similar to the other SALT beer in this delivery, it was fine but not memorable.

OK beer, but not as strong as the ABV, slightly weak in the mouth. Not as hoppy or fruity as they would have you believe. Something for everyone in there, but nothing punchy.

Charan –
Not a huge fan, sadly.
Adam –
nice beer from Salt. Not really stand out, but I tasty beer to drink in the summer.
Rob –
Not masses of flavour for a 6.6%DDHIPA, but still pretty drinkable

Different aroma notes when compared to other tropical IPAs of cantaloupe melon and guava. Nice.

Slightly underwhelming but was drinkable. Had a sweet honey like taste

Really nice flavour with the higher ABV it packs more punch but is a very tasty drinkable beer
Jamie –
Very nice beer, good tropical taste and not too over powering given the percentage
Craig –
Really disappointed, had fond memories of this
Craig –
Disappointing. Nothing like keg or cans of old.
Jason –
Nice IPA from a brewery local to me , not tried any of there beers before but will look out for them in future
Callum –
I didn’t get tropical IPA at all. I got malty German helles. Disappointed, but not deterred!
