Absolute malt bomb! Chocolate & toasted bread, with a touch of smoke & a big hit of rye spices. Hints of liquorice & bonfire toffee with the faintest tinge of dark fruits, a peck of black pepper & a lovely boozy warmth throughout.

An aroma of bread and chocolate that reminds you of a rich pudding. Pours dark brown and sits black in the glass. You get a hit of the ABV at the start with a stewed fruitiness that gives you a rum and raisin style flavour. Then you get a heavy roasted coffee malt that leads you into silky smooth chocolate bitterness, with creamy notes of milk chocolate in the background and a slight spice from the rye. It then finishes on that rum n raisin fruitiness again. This is a rich, very complex, extremely smooth and drinkable baltic porter. Hands down the best porter I’ve ever drank, absolutely superb.

In my opinion it is much lighter than a British porter and does not have the same depth of flavour.

Rich, very sweet with the spice of the rye giving this extra character. Cocoa and coffee notes bring some bitterness to offset the strong alcohol flavour.

Lovely thick creamy head . Fruity nose . Bitter chocolate taste with a hint of rye whisky . Warming aftertaste perfect for cold winter nights . Even the art on the bottle label is top quality .

Great porter! Roasty, rich and complex. Another top dark beer from this Estonian brewery.
A Baltic Porter from one of the Baltic states. It’s a variety that’s very high in alcohol, a sweet, robust porter, and this one is made by the Estonian Pühaste. Baltic Porter reflects both the mettle of original British Porters and the character of sweeter, highly alcoholic Russian Imperial Stouts. A mighty 9.3% ABV.
