Not a bad beer, but probably the worst I got in this box. Probably an aquired taste.

We got off to a bad start – the darned bottle fizzed up, wasting a shocking quantity of this very tasty brew – needless to say, I was not happy! However, once I actually got to try the ale, I noticed the heady aroma when I stuck my nose in the class and enjoyed the rich combination of crispness and roasty-toastiness. Yes, I very much like this one.

This is one of the best beers I’ve had in the whole time I’ve been subscribed to Honest Brew! Absolutely delicious, very more-ish which is unusual for me at this strength, full of flavour without being overpowering, just perfect.

Was actually surprised how much I liked this one seeing it’s not the type of brew I’d normally go for! A nice interesting, complex beer that was VERY easy to drink….
Inspired by an X ale recipe from Scottish brewers Thomas Usher, around 1885.
Partizan used Redemption Brewing’s house yeast, which can be traced back in its origins to the Scottish and Newcastle brewery. Such a characterful aroma, full of great memories. The malts were a secret blend of high melanoidin malts to try and recreate the mild malts of the time.
This modern twist used a new UK hop varietal, Mystic. Lots of gooseberries and lime with hints of apricot & peach.
