Obelisk is a collaboration with Hyde Park Brass Band, who are local to Leeds and can seriously rock a cover of Shakira’s Hips Don’t Lie. The beer is 5.7%, with a good inherent texture and a balanced amount of sweetness. Big oats and Vienna malt deliver a robust body, while a three stage dry hop utilises the heavyweight trio of Citra, Simcoe and Ekuanot. The result delivers maximum sweet tropical fruit, pine needles and dankness.

Another superb brew from NM. Distinctive freshness, tropical fruits overlaying a subtle savoury backbone. Perfect carbonation and mouthfeel.

Perhaps overhyped itself and I expected too much. Very nice but not as good as I wanted it to be.
