This IPA is lovingly brewed by the fantastic Northern Monk.
This tasty brew comes in a 440ml can and is 6.0% ABV.
The good people at Northern Monk say:
Lord Whitney, Leeds’ very own ‘connoisseurs of make-believe’, look to create immersive, sensory experiences through their work. This resonates with what we look to do with beer, which we believe should be more than simply a taste experience. The best beer experiences both create and recall memories and stimulate multiple senses. This can be as simple as recollections of that perfect cask pint in the corner of your favourite open-fire heated pub in conversation with good friends.
Amongst the most stimulating memories for any person are those from childhood and we love to reminisce of our favourite flavours from ‘back in the day’ and challenge ourselves to recreate these flavours in beer form. Inspired by the flavours of rainbow sherbet, this silky IPA is brewed with three fruits; raspberry, pineapple and mango. A total of 90g/l of fruit puree was added through fermentation for layers of candy-like juicy depth and delight. All of this over a classic hazy IPA base packed with naked oats and wheat malt alongside some lactose milk sugar combining for optimum smooth mouthfeel. We whirlpool hopped with some resinous, piney Columbus and dry-hopped with the signature tropical combination of Citra and Mosaic.

Full of flavour!
Richard –
Raspberry, pineapple and mango in a classic hazy IPA!!!
Alex –
Pale orange haze with a bit os a rose hue, really looks inviting. Nose is fresh raspberry, squeeze of lemon, some light vanilla sweetness, like a raspberry ripple sorbet. Medium bodied, lighter on the sweetness than expected with well balanced tartness upfront mingling in with light malt, before some lemon again and onto a light zest, semi dry finish
Thomas –
This surprised me with quite how juicy it was.
Alan –
Great brew

Very fruity IPA. Straight from the fridge, refreshing on a hot day.

I didn’t read the small print properly which is that this beer uses real fruit. I was disappointed to read that as I feel that’s cheating a bit. I want my brewer to masterfully craft the fruit tastes using the basic beer ingredients such as hops and yeast. Sure, it won’t literally be as fruity as a beer brewed with real fruit but personally I don’t seek out that level of fruitiness. That being said it was still good (beer is never bad, just varying degrees of good). Won’t be returning to this one.

Like a Hoppy Solero! Bit bitter with a strong mango flavour.

Quite good, a bit more bitter than I thought it would be and expected more juice flavours

John –
Disco Disco Disco. Hazy and delightful.
Martin –
Rather nice, but the fruit didn’t do what it says on the tin.
Adam –
Really enjoyed this, the fruit gives a nice sourness to compliment the hop juice!
Emma –
Quite a fan of juicy beers, and this one didn’t disappoint. Goes down very well in the sunshine. A lovely tropical, citrusy taste to it and just the right level of bitterness to it to make it not too sweet. Delicious!

Thick, cloudy look in the glass and a smooth mouthfeel. Pleasantly sour with some sweet fruitiness in there too. Nice beer and the peelable label is a nice touch.

I have struggled with some of the Patrons Project beers before, but this I am pleased to say bucked the trend somewhat. Very enjoyable and nice to sip on a warm spring day.
David –
Probably one of the best beers I’ve had, if not the best. Full of fruity flavours, lovely fizz on the tongue.
Ben –
The taste of fruit kicks through but the alcohol content ruins this beer for me. Prefer something a bit subtler but probably someone’s cup of tea!
Christopher –
Nice and complex with a load of tangy raspberry and tropical fruits, it’s basically a beery version of a tequila sunrise. Just need a beach, a palm tree and a hammock. 🌴 🌴🌴
