Pours a cloudy dark gold/light amber, tinged head with plenty of retention and some lacing. A full bodied aroma of malt and sharp fruity hops. Taste is the same with a strong malt base (for this style) and fruity with grapefruit being most notable. The soft carbonation is spot on. Finish has a moderate bitterness with a surprising light tropical sourness which is lovely.

Does have the complex hop flavours that are claimed in the description, but also a rounded, heavily fruited taste, citrussy, great mouthfeel. However, all that hoppiness AND all that fruit is a bit……much, a bit overpowering. It’s impressive to pack in so much flavour at a modest ABV, but it’s just not for me.

Quite hoppy and fruity
Aaron –
Abit to hoppy for my taste
Toby –
Good flavour
Robin –
Sarah –
Powerful hoppy flavour, but in a good way
Richard –
Does have the complex hop flavours that are claimed in the description, but also a rounded, heavily fruited taste, citrussy, great mouthfeel. However, all that hoppiness AND all that fruit is a bit……much, a bit overpowering. It’s impressive to pack in so much flavour at a modest ABV, but it’s just not for me.

Best pale of the order, nice balance of fruitiness and hops.

A full, yet balanced beer, tasting a bit like a red ale and not overly hoppy.
Daniel –
Flavoursome but a slightly bitter aftertaste

A nice ale, didn’t taste particularly fruity to me, more on the malty, darker side.
