Decent flavours of ginger and chocolate. Had a touch of alcohol burn to it though unfortunately, not sure I’d have this one again.

The ginger isn’t over powering and the orange is very subtle. Would certainly drink this again.

Decent body and mouthfeel, the ginger and orange come through just enough to be noticeable without becoming too overpowering. Citrus with a little spice, it’s like a cake. Lovely.

This doesn’t hold back on the flavour. It really does taste as if you chucked the spiced orange flavour of crabbies, an old favourite of mine, into a stout. The silky, full bodied texture lulls you into a false sense of comfort before the intense spiciness and the strong citrus orange flavours almost overwhelm but the creamy chocolate flavour provides a great balance. It manages to pack the stout full of hops without it tasting like basically a black IPA like many fruity stouts and porters end up, and while it will not appeal to a lot of people, as someone who counts ginger and orange as two of my favourite flavours, this is as tailor-made a beer for me as could be found.
El Gingero is a collab with Against The Grain of Louisville, Kentucky. A full bodied oatmeal stout, featuring a complex malt bill and smooth texture. Fragrant, spicy stem and whole ginger were added throughout the brew along with orange zest and dried peel. Large doses of earthy European and citrusy US hops feature, creating a spicy, fruity and refreshing brew.
