Black with a beige frothy head where you can hear the fizz. Leaves some retention but no lacing. Aroma of roasted almost burnt coffee beans and vanilla but not getting the chocolate note. The dark chocolate does come through in the taste however, but the prominent flavour is roasted coffee beans but there is a freshness to it which is very pleasant. The mouthfeel is superb with a low but tingly carbonation and full body. I’m not a coffee person but I found this surprisingly moorish. Excellent.

A light coffee aroma. Pours a caramel colour and sits black in the glass. This starts on a sweet vanilla and coffee flavour and ends on a light dark chocolate bitterness. For me, none of the flavours are really that strong and I’m not a big fan of the sweet vanilla and coffee flavour, would have preferred some strong malty or roasted notes.

Description is bang on; great balance and depth, no coffee bitterness, doesn’t taste like a percolator filter! The chocolate combines to give a mocha effect. Very dark, great mouthfeel, SOOOO much better than the coffee porters I’ve had in the States. Recommended

As with all the Magic Rock beers I’ve tried, this is a really good beer. The coffee is definitely ramped up compared to other ‘coffee porter’ that I’ve tried. Not really any vanilla, but a lovely deep malty taste that I would buy again.

One of the best porters I have tried recently. Difficult to add more notes since the highlights on the can perfectly describe the taste. It’s not sweet at all, makes it a perfect tipple for winter nights.

Very nice beer, im easy going with beer and in general like most things, this is rich and decadent beer with a nice coffee and cream taste, I would enjoy this as single beer rather than having 4-5 cans of the stuff as it would get a bit much after more than 2. Very nice overall.
