A roasty aroma of coffee and malt. Pours black in the glass. This is a very light porter, both in body and flavour. Its smooth and slightly creamy at the start with some sweetness. You then get a light chocolate bitterness and it ends on a very subtle desiccated coconut flavour. I want to hate this for being a dark beer with such subtle flavours, but I don't. I really enjoyed drinking this and its probably the most sessionable porter i've ever drank.
Long Irish winters tempt many a shivering soul to dream of distant lands. Those who can’t realise the dream will enjoy this Kinnegar Special, Yannaroddy. A 4.8% Coconut Porter, it infuses the relentless winter nights with a warming touch of the tropics.
