Black IPAs are great, especially when you chuck some rye into the mix too. Very dry stouty, hoppy, almost spicy goodness.

Like a cross between an IPA and a porter. Not overly hoppy for an IPA. Would have given it 3.5.

If you like complex, genre defying beer…you will probably like this fantastic black rye IPA from Kinnegar. It’s not just a black IPA or just a rye IPA but a perfect marriage of both styles.

Perfectly pleasant but ultimately I'm not sure what the point is. Like a really light porter but with a long cereal aftertaste. Very clever but I'd rather have a standard IPA or a standard porter I think.
Black Bucket is bigger brother to Kinnegar’s trademark Rye Ale, Rust Bucket. This Black Rye IPA balances rye and roasted malts with fresh hop aromas and flavours. At 6.5% ABV, BB is a little bigger in strength than his sibling but his brewers believe he’s every bit as drinkable.
