A woody and smokey aroma. Pours black in the glass. This stout has been aged in a blend of cognac, single malt Irish whiskey and bourbon barrels. You get the taste of the different spirits mixing well together in this stout. It has a powerful smokey backbone from the whiskey and a strong oak barrel flavour. The cognac brings a spicy richness and the bourbon adds sweeteness to the mix. Underneath it all there's a solid creamy and malty stout base and this stout base is what it ends on.
