It was pretty good, but I had higher expectations after SG7 (which was an exceptional beer) it’s tough to compare them to be fair as they’re usually very different from each other in taste and often style in the Something Good series ..but compare I do!!!!

An aroma of pine and light citrus. Pours a hazy dark orange in the glass. Really well balanced, this starts with a light juicy burst of orange flavour. Then the dry pine notes come in and they’ve got the just the right balance of pine. Bitter grapefruit rind enters towards the end and mixes in with the nice smooth toffee/caramel notes you’d expect from a great West Coast. Just a really well put together, well flavoured West Coast IPA. But with Deya, what else would you expect.

Excellent West Coast beer. Very sessionable, typical DEYA in that it could be any strength between 5 and 8
This IPA is lovingly brewed by the fantastic Deya.
This tasty brew comes in a 440ml can and is 6.2% ABV.
SG8 is a leaner and cleaner experience with flaked rice making up a portion of the grist and a neutral yeast strain fermenting the beer. Chinook, Simcoe and Enigma on the exchanges for a little more old school feel – dank and pine needles.
