A roasty and sour malted aroma. Pours black in the glass. Between the name and the artwork on the can, there's a HP Lovecraft vibe about this porter. Starts on a smooth, deep and rich malt flavour that gets increasingly bitter towards the finish. Towards the end you also get a sour, milky lactose taste that brings some needed creaminess to that bitter malty finish.

I've been a bit dissapointed with the Buxton beers i've hd recently but this one is really nice.Not too heavy and rather refreshing.
A deep, dark Porter to evoke a sense of mystery. Challenge the Gatekeeper. At 4.1% ABV and light for the variety, you can bravely take on the challenge more than once. Expect tastes and aromas of coffee, roasted malts, cocoa and fruity hops.
