Very nice. It’s tart and sour, but it doesn’t melt your face off. It’s also refreshing and very easy drinking. I really enjoyed this.

This is lovely. The lemon is quite subtle (not at all like sherbert as I read somewhere!) and the sourness is not overpowering. Would recommend and drink again.

Basic Berliner Weisse adding nothing new or unseen before. However, sometimes thats a good thing. Things can get muddled and overwhelming when you try to do too much with some beer styles. This was Sour and very Dry yet seemingly light enough to quaff.

Buxton are one of those breweries that make beers you don’t normally enjoy and make you think twice. Same’s true with this one

Very very strange acidic taste. A beer shouldn’t taste like that.
After taking one mouthful I needed a Thornbridge Jaipur as an antidote.

I recall this being so sour to the taste as to seem almost undrinkable for me I’m afraid. But an interesting variation nonetheless and perhaps just not what I was expecting!

Perhaps this particular beer with its startling acidity just isn’t to my tastes, but I don’t value sourness as a desirable trait in a beer so I’m afraid this can’t get much of a thumbs up from me.

Don’t get me wrong – I love Berliner Weisse beers and sours in general – but this wasn’t for me. The sharp acidity combined with tropical notes similar to a Marlborough Sauv Blanc made this beer all to reminiscent of vomit. I giggled at first sip, thinking as much, but from then on the beer was a bit of a slog. Glad I tried it, but won’t be going back.

Clear and very pale yellow colour, low white head. Aroma of lactic acid, hints of lemons and herbal and spicy hops.
