This Stout is lovingly brewed by the fantastic Buxton.
This tasty brew comes in a 330ml can and is 16.5% ABV.
The Brewery says: Tigran Vartanovič Petrosjan was a Soviet chess player of Armenian origin, world champion from 1963 to 1969.
Characterized by an unspectacular but technically flawless style of play, he remained famous for his virtually impenetrable defensive tactics, which have pushed his name to the top of the rankings of the most difficult chess players of all time.
One of the beers of Buxton’s Barrel Masters 2020 project is dedicated to him, focusing on the figures of world-famous chess players.
Petrosian is an Imperial Stout aged in Scotch barrels, with notes of black chocolate and molasses, dominated by a strong alcohol content and the gustatory residue of oak barrels.
Of Petrosjan it was said: “He can sniff out an enemy threat with twenty moves in advance”.
I know how to smell a good beer at least twenty minutes before tasting it, and I guarantee you that this one will not leave you disappointed.
