Overly carbonated, over powering bitter coffee grounds favour with hint of of dark chocolate. Far from smooth and couldn’t finish it

Pours a deep brown colour with a thick tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, some coffee, a little smoke, a hint of oats and subtle earthy vanilla. Taste of roasted malts, dark chocolate, some coffee, a hint of smoke and subtle oats. Medium bodied and moderate carbonation. A dryish, subtly, metallic, roasted bitterness in the finish. A solid enough oatmeal stout, bit overly carbonated and subtly metallic.

All the typical stout flavours are there but it’s a bit thin and fizzy for me.

Toasted oats, bitter dark chocolate, coffee and roasted malt give this a great complex flavour with bitterness, sweetness, and roast flavours all very prominent.

I don’t drink many stouts anymore, but this one is really nice. Very smooth and smoky, you can defo taste the chocolate and coffee notes.

Oaty as it should be. It fills the mouth with the expected creamy oatmeal nuttiness but there’s a sweetness with coffee and choc smoothness too – well worth savouring.

The best beer of my gift box. A mellow, smooth stout with real depth of flavour. Made me wish my 12 mixed case was just full of these.
A sweet, toasty oatmeal stout with a dark chocolate and coffee finish. Ideal enjoyed with red meat, smoked meats and stews, desserts with chocolate, caramel or dark fruits. Best served around 8 to 10c.
