Very nice, with a hint of spiciness, but still creamy and chocolaty and the 8% isn't overwhelming.

Thick and boozy with a nice head.

A spicy vegetable aroma of chilli, as well as coffee and very light coconut. Pours black in the glass. Smooth, milky vanilla lactose and the heat of spicy chipotle chilli start this impy stout off. Then the chilli recedes abit and you get more waves of creamy thick vanilla milkshake, with fragrant hints of coconut in the background. The vanilla and coconut work very well together. On the finish, rich and bitter, roasted malty coffee comes in and you get some heat from the chilli hitting the back of your throat. It's very clever how they've balanced the chilli and cream in this stout. A complex and powerful imperial stout.

With a viscosity similar to the syrup you put on ice-cream, all the flavours are there. Hearty stuff.

Loved every sip. Thick and creamy with a subtle tingle in the mouth from the Chipotle.

Stouts as a rule are not really my thing, but gave this a go as have really enjoyed other boundary offerings. It’s actually 10%, not 8% as advertised by Frank, and it took me a while to get through. That said each sip was enjoyable with a taste that somehow managed to be typically stout yet also unique. I’m not wordsmith or beer languagey enough to describe it but I’d certainly recommend anyone give it a go. Only 4 stars as I’d choose other beers based on what I prefer, but as a stout it’s the most enjoyable I’ve had.

A thick, heavy stout. Rich coffee taste but unfortunatly no chilli taste at all
