    Pirate Life – Stout 7.2%

Brewed with Oats, Black and Chocolate malts, EKG, Fuggles and Columbus hops, Pirate Life Stout is perfect for the cooler months. The malts take centre stage with a cacophony of coffee, chocolate and sticky date pudding and a rich creamy mouthfeel thanks to the oats. Columbus smacks the palate with a healthy dose of bitterness while late additions of EKG and Fuggles lend a gentle, earthy spiciness to the beer.

Pirate Life – Mosaic IPA 7%

Pirate Life decided to brew a homage to the most delicious of hops. The plan was pretty straight forward: use a simple malt bill and let the Mosaic do the talking. The resulting beer is as the name implies; a kaleidoscopic journey through tropical flavours. Somehow, Mosaic finds a way to impart every delicious flavour you ask of hops, all on its own. Backed by a clean, light malt bill it's the beer equivalent of a fruit punch juice box.

    Pirate Life – IPA 6.8%

Sitting nicely between Pirate Life’s Pale Ale and IIPA, at 6.8% ABV the IPA has a gentle orange hue and a round, full bodied malt character thanks to the Pale, Munich and Crystal malt. After the brewery’s Pale Ale and IIPA withdrew most of their funds from the ‘dank bank’ they thought it was time to make a beer that brought something a little different to the table. Chock full of Centennial, Riwaka and Simcoe this IPA is bright, fruity and full of liquid fun.

  • Northern Monk – Patrons Project 6.03 Slam Dank IPA 7.4%

The Monks' latest special release IPA harks back to IPAs gone by... Not English-hopped but dank to the eyeballs like the classic West Coast IPAs that once dominated our drinking (many, many weeks ago….). Northern Monk aimed to take everything they’ve learnt and loved developing NE-styles over the past year or so and bring the dankest hop varieties to the party. So the mouthfeel is still soft and silky smooth but this time with just a touch more intensity of malt flavour. A light bittering addition was backed up by heavy whirlpool hopping with Simcoe and Mosaic at reduced temperature for maximum flavour and minimal bitterness pick up.

  • Northern Monk – Strannik Imperial Stout 9%

Imperial stout is descended from the strongest, "stoutest" porter brewed in Britain in the 18th century, which found favour with the Tsar of Russia in St. Petersburg, where it was believed to have earned its "imperial" title. Northern Monks' take is a beer of simple means in search of enlightenment – just like a pilgrim ("strannik" in Russian). The espresso roast and chocolate character are provided by four classic roasted malts, which is complemented by a rounded bitterness and floral, spicy notes from British hops. The body is medium-full, and the finish is medium-dry with hints of dried berries and slight alcohol warmth. Savour fresh or cellared.

  • Wild Horse – Session Pale Ale v2 3.6%

Reworked and reimagined from last year’s popular 10 Barrel Series beer, Session Pale Ale v2 continues Wild Horse's quest for a low ABV brew which packs the flavour punch of a much bigger beer. The 2017 version takes inspiration from brewers in New England. We’ve added malted oats to the grist to boost the body and swapped out the hops for Citra and Centennial. The bulk of the hops were added late in the boil and as a dry hop for an intense aroma and low bitterness, complementing the juicy character of a Vermont ale yeast strain.

  • Fourpure – Southern Latitude – NE Session IPA 4.4%

A very light coloured, very hoppy pale ale. Straw yellow, fluffy white head, medium carbonation. Assertive hop character, with the Galaxy stealing the show with aromas of passion fruit, mango, clean citrus. Topaz & Centennial also contributing with some resinous aromatics, lychee and more citrus. Light, neutral malt character with a hint of toast and honey, dry finish. The hop flavour is very assertive and similar to the aroma, but with slightly more pineapple and other citrus fruits. Because we only used flavour, aroma, and dry hop additions in this beer and no bittering addition (a technique sometimes called ‘hopbursting’), the beer has a very intense hop character without being overly bitter. As a result this beer is very balanced and drinkable.
