Look – dark brown, massive beige fluffy head, took 10 minutes to settle. Ain't no one got time for that! Aroma – lightly roasted, sweet malts, nuts, spice, dried fruits. Nice. Taste – starts malty, then quite fruity and sweet, finishing with a long bitterness combined with some fruit tang and toasty malts. Maybe a touch of spice but this element does get a bit lost. Palate – medium body and a high natural carbonation which leads to somewhere between smooth and frothy on the palate. Maybe I've not yet had enough Belgium style beers to comment but I'm not convinced by it. A mixed bag but some good flavours.

A Belgian style brown ale with a hint of spice and plenty of dried fruit. Subtle yet desirable, perfect for those long winter nights by the fire.
