Oude kriek 3 Fonteinen is produced by ripening cherry flesh and seeds in young lambic for 6-8 months. They are slowly absorbed into the lambic, which develops a fruitiness and a ruby red colour. After bottling, the beer matures for at least 4 months in a warm room where the spontaneous fermentation magic can happen. The result is a tart, jammy, 6% kriek from the masters.
