Verdant Brewing

About Verdant Brewing

Background

Arguably the most consistently excellent outfit in the UK, Verdant have been making the beers that they love to drink since 2014. Founders Adam, James and Rich decided to start making their own US-inspired beer after struggling to find anything of a similar style in their local area. Local, in this case, is Falmouth, Cornwall and in this idyllic south-west corner of the UK, Verdant’s name has become pretty much synonymous with incredible Pale Ale, IPA and DIPA, their annual release of Putty is now one of the UK craft beer calendar’s most anticipated events. Originally purely focusing on New England-style brewing, the beers tend to be juicy, hoppy and hazy and are always unfiltered and vegan, so everyone can enjoy them.

Recent years have seen them explore other influences and brewing styles, with beers with a stronger West Coast influence catching the eye, as well as forays into darker beers. Core Pale Ales Headband and Lightbulb are excellent examples of Verdant’s expert techniques and are the perfect go-to beer when you’re looking for some hoppy refreshment. As Verdant have continued growing in popularity, their operation has gotten bigger too, with the addition of a top-class seafood restaurant in 2018, a move to a larger brewing site in 2020, and a brand spanking new taproom on its way soon!
