Thornbridge Brewery

About Thornbridge

Background

Founded by friends Jim & Simon in 2005, Thornbridge began life brewing in the rather grand surroundings of Thornbridge Hall, Derbyshire. The first beer they brewed was Lord Marples, a 4% bitter that’s still available to this day, and beer that reflects the respect Thornbridge have always possessed for traditional brewing. This reverence for historical brewing knowledge is combined with an innovative approach and overall passion for brewing that underpins every beer that Thornbridge produces, and is exemplified by flagship beer, Jaipur. An American-inspired IPA, Jaipur was one of the first of its kind in the UK, with its tropical undertones that are now part and parcel of craft beer almost revolutionary at the time. Awards and recognition followed and with each new beer, Thornbridge cements its status as one of the UK’s most beloved breweries.
